The author of the contribution reports on a situation analysis of the air nozzle weaving technology. Significant key components for an advancement of this technology are the enhanced energy efficiency and the noise generation. Thus, the energy efficiency of air nozzle weaving machines has to be enhanced. Under this aspect, a general method for the enhancement of the energy efficiency of textile production machines is developed.
